About Karl
Karl Kerschl has been drawing comics professionally since the age of eighteen. Over thirty years in the industry, he has worked with every major (and minor) comic book publisher on practically every major (and minor) character. Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Deadpool, Spider-Man, the Transformers…
In 2007 he split his efforts between print comics and online comics, and his beautiful and sombre series, The Abominable Charles Christopher, won the Eisner Award for Best Webcomic in 2011.
In 2014 he co-created the hit YA series Gotham Academy for DC Comics, and cemented characters like Maps Mizoguchiinto the Batman mythos as both writer and artist of several follow-up stories.
In 2017, he jumped head-first into creator-owned comics with his critically-acclaimed series ISOLA.
He is currently self-publishing his new sci-fi series, DEATH TRANSIT TANAGER online and in print.
