Marvel Pets Handbook
Another cover full of animals! This one is for the Marvel Pets Handbook, which, let’s face it, is something we’ve all been craving. In stores June 17th.
Can you name every animal on this cover?

I cannot name them and i blame two main things for this…
1) No handy chart with numbers overlaying a silhoutte to which I may make a list.
2) Low artistic rendering. I mean, are those Thor’s Goats or Patty and Selma? A sasquatch like creature or our high school English teacher?

Ant-Man’s Ants
Aragorn
Cosmo the Dog
Deuce
Devil Dinosaur
Ebony
Gertie
Lockheed
Lockjaw
Niels
Redwing
Sabu
No idea who the big green pet is in the background or a few others here.
Nice to see the Marvel pets get the spotlight Karl!

Eddy, the psionic velociraptor you identified as “Gertie” is actually Old Lace. Gert was her owner (hero name: Arsenic) before she died; after that, Chase inherited her.

I’m pretty sure that the black winged horse is (the deceased) Nightwind, Mirage’s horse from when she was still with X-Force and was a Valkyrie. Incidentally, Nightwind was destroyed by Reignfire, the future incarnation of Sunspot (‘Berto DaCosta) in the X-Force issue right before the Age of Apocalypse.
The green thing in the back? I THINK that’s Krakatoa (sp?), the Living Island… from Giant-Sized X-Men #1 (which introduced the team including Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Cyclops, and Wolverine while Angel, Iceman, Marvel Girl, and Beast were captured).
